Trawden is a small traditional village located in East Lancashire to the edge of Colne largely made up of stone terraced cottage properties, farms and newer detached and semi detached houses.

Trawden Community Group (TCG) is a non political group and was originally established to campaign for the protection of the Village Green in the upper part of the village. Significant pressure is being applied to the local environment through the continuing demands of commerce - wether this be the development of new housing or the commerical development of green land.

More recently we have been responsible for championing the development of the Trawden Forest Parish Plan through the production and circulation of a questionnaire designed to capture the wishes of the villagers in respect of environmental concerns.

This Parish Plan will be completed once the results of the Questionnaire have been received, analysed and compiled and circulated both in hard copy, through local press and here on the site.
